With foldable device being the rage, it was only a matter of time that a company would try to transform a smartphone into wearable devices such as watch. Thanks
No, it's not some futuristic imagination. Chinese electronics company TCL, which has owns the brand Blackberry and Alcatel, is working on as many as five foldable devices including two tablets, says a Cnet report.
Known for its budget television sets, TCL plans to launch it's foldable device next year. However, one if the patents that has sparked interest is the foldable phone that can bend around your wrist like a bracelet.
While many concepts have popped up, Cnet says, the image underscores the industry's growing interest in foldable devices.
But, back in 2016, Lenovo, in one of it's first few foldable prototypes, unveiled a bracelet watch design.
While further details remain scarce, the renders, which Cnet got from a patent filling, are reportedly in the works are not just the options that TCL wants to move it's foldable phone.
With Mobile world Congress right around the content, rumours are flying thick and fast so it's better to take everything with a pinch of salt but that doesn't stop us from getting excited.
